Summary of Activities/Interests
Physical modelling of porous media and development of cutting-edge experimental techniques to quantify complex flow phenomena including multiphase flow, turbulence and contaminant transport. Techniques include Micro-PIV, Refractive Index Matching (RIM) and Endoscopic PIV.
Fluid-structure interaction with particular interest on environmental and geophysical flows. Emphasis is given to flow around complex naturally occurring bedform systems including three-dymensional, permeable and interacting bedforms.
