Plasma Flow Sensor

FlowPAC is one of the world leaders in the development and use of Single Dielectric Barrier Discharge(SDBD) Plasma Actuators. The experience obtained with these has led to the development of other plasma related devices including a plasma anemometer that can measure mean velocity, pressure and temperature at sampling rates up to 2MHz, plasma-based adaptive optics with a frequency response that is an order of magnitude better than mechanically driven deformable mirrors, and plasma surface roughness that is used for suppressing turbulent transition in high-speed boundary layer flows.
